Clavimox  Each tablet contains :

Amoxicillin tri-hydrated pressed 573.89 mg butalium clavulanate 148.90 mg (dilute 125 mg clavulanic acid)

Indications:

Clavimox is used to treat infections caused by beta-lactamase-producing or non-beta-lactamase-producing bacteria

Dosage:

• The dosage depends on age, weight, kidney function, and severity of infection to reduce the severity of gastrointestinal disturbances. Take clavimox at the beginning of a meal as it is better absorbed. The duration of treatment depends on the indications for use.
• The duration of treatment should not exceed 14 days without referring to the doctor.
• Treatment can be started and completed by injection by mouth.
• Clavimox tablets should not be taken by children under 12 years of age
• In the case of mild to moderate infection: In adults and children over 12 years of age and with a bodyweight greater than or equal to 40 kg, a 625 mg tablet twice daily.
• In severe infections: In adults and children over 12 years of age and with a bodyweight greater than or equal to 40 kg, a 625 mg tablet three times a day, or a 1 gm tablet twice a day.
• Elderly people: There is no need to adjust the dose as in the case of adults.

Precautions & Warnings:

• Concomitant use of amoxicillin and coumarin group anticoagulants may prolong the bleeding time, and in this case, the dose of the anticoagulant needs to be adjusted.
