Each soft gelatin capsule contains:
1000 mg
– Evening primrose Oil (Oenothera biennis L.)
Standardized as fatty acid
Main fatty acid: gamma-linolenic acid 9.0 – 11.0%
-DIL-Alpha Tocophyrol Acetate (Activity 1 mg/ 1 IU Vitamin E)
Eq. to 4.00 1.U. vit E

Properties:

• Evening primrose oil is pure natural oil extracted from the seeds of the biennial plant Oenothera biennis. It is a unique supplement of linolei cacid & gammalinolenic acid (GLA). The evening primrose oil, as well as the human milk are only two sources to contain substantial amounts of GLA. GLA is the precursor of the prostaglandin PGE1.
• PGE1 plays an important role in different tissues of the human body and thus is of a preventive and therapeutic value in many diseases.

Indications:

• Dietary supplement to improve body function.

Dose:

• 1-2 Capsules daily or as prescribed.

Precautions and Warnings:

• Primrose oil should be used with caution in patient with history of epilepsy.
• Primrose oil is contraindicated in schizophrenic patients, and / or thos who are already receiving known epileptogenic drug such as phenothiazines.
• Evening primrose oil appears to be well tolerated with few side effectsreported such as mild gastro-intestinal effects. Indigestion, nausea,softening of stools and headache have occasionally occurred.
